Globe Tattoo Broadband Stick Firmware Upgrade
If you’ve seen or heard about the last Globe Tattoo commercial, the one with the Dolphin Rescue, then you should be aware that you can now make and receive calls, and send and receive texts using your Globe Tattoo broadband stick directly from your laptop as if it were a mobile phone.
At the launch, only the new Globe Tattoo sticks with the Pinoy-inspired themes that had the software to call. Recently, we launched the firmware upgrade for the other sticks to enable the call function. If you haven’t upgraded yet, click this link to grab the upgrade. The upgrade is for E1552, E160 and E160E Globe Tattoo sticks.
Why do you have to upgrade? Well, without it, you wouldn’t be able to use the new Globe Tattoo broadband stick functions. It’s really easy to do, too.
Here’s how to upgrade:
1. Insert the Globe Tattoo stick into a USB port.
2. Download the firmware upgrade software from the Globe Tattoo site.
3. Double-click the installer to launch the upgrade wizard.
4. Read through and accept the license agreement. Click “Next” to continue. The wizard will then search for the broadband stick.
5. Click “Next” on the succeeding dialog boxes, and click “Start” on the update wizard when it appears.
6. Once the update process is complete, click “OK” and click “Finish.”
7. The Dashboard Update Wizard will then initiate. Follow steps 4 to 6.
8. Go to My Computer, and double-click the Globe Broadband icon.
9. Click “Yes” to reinstall the new Globe Tattoo dashboard and software.
You should be able to use the new functions perfectly!

I have been using Globe Tattoo Broadband for half-a-year already and all i can say is that it satisfy my internet connection needs. Though Tattoo has its ups and downs, I personally can still say it is the best among the rest of broadband sticks. I appreciated Tattoo more when i found out about this new enhancement for Tattoo, unfortunately I have been downloading this for about a week already and all I get is a blank page. Is there anyone can give me a better link for downloading this stuff? Thanks You Rock!

Ive been using globe broadband tattoo since last october 2009. I’m happy for the upgraded and alreadu updated the software or the dashbord. but i can’t make call it appears always failure when calling the device is E1552. but i cant make call. huhu!

[/quote]Me too i have the same problem i tried to run the update but it seems that the device is automatically disconnecting when you were trying to update the device. yes the error will prompt that there are no device connected. im 100% sure that i followed the rules. Is there any other way to update it?

Before I can use my yahoo messeger but now im having a problem with my signal there are 3 signals in my computer (gprs,hs&wcd) what ever. Whats wrong with I cannot use my chat. Pls tell me what to do. Thanks

I have already upgraded but no help.. My E1552 still cannot make calls.. Dashboard is still the same.. As if nothing’s changed..

its unfair for mac osx users. call function is disabled still after i upgraded the firmware. i hope this can be solved soon. thank you
Ive already updated my huawei E160E. tattoo dashboard is also updated.. I may now receive and make calls but unfortunately.. theres no sounds coming from my speaker and mic even it is working in other software (YM,Skype etc)
